Roman Numeral: XXX This table was made from 12/4 (very thick) walnut and finished with Watco Oil. It had a somewhat tear-drop shape with three legs that had a stylized mushroom stem shape.

The top had one 6 inch diameter pad and six 4 inch diameter pads, each cut in on its own plane, spread around the surface of the top. The areas between the pads were sculpted in swirls of humps and valleys leaving no flat areas except for the seven pads.

The functional essence of this design was intended for a pitcher of tea and six glasses. I didn't get a picture of it before it was sold at a small art fair at Hilldale Shopping Center on Madison's west side.

I would love to have the current owner provide a picture or two for this history journal.
